Default 1992 Dashboard Trim/Overlay Replacement Options

I recently puchased a 1992 Bonneville SE (white exterior). I actually love the body style and confort of the car, but it was a grandma car (literally) and has the wood grain dashboard trim and blue interior. I am moving across the country to Los Angeles and needed a good reliable vehicle and figured this low miles (68,000) garage kept grandpa car would be perfect...but alas, I am shallow and desperatly want to replace the wood grain dash panel/trim....PLEASE HELP!

I have been looking all over and cant find any for the 1992 Bonneville, my only option so far is to remove it and paint it either myself or have it sent out.

You have a console shifter from your sig. Any dash panel w/console shifter from 92-99 fits perfectly. The only thing to watch out for would be the Heads Up Display hole in the SSE/SSEi'* to the left of the steering wheel.

Any 92-99 Gray surround will work as long as it is for a floor shift with no HUD hole and no gain control

Uh...Pinkster..he mentions in his sig having a console shift. Column shifter dash is different than console.

Whoops! I assumed it was a column because it was a older SE.

Default Correction

I have a correction...as I was reading all of your helpful responses I realized I put console shift when actually its column shift (i.e. - the shifter is on the steering column).

My appoligies and the same question still applies.

That'* ok. i still make mistakes quite a bit. But yes, any 92-99 column shift surround will work.

pull it out (no fasteners, just clips) sand it lightly with 600 grit sand paper and paint it any color you want

Or...hit up a junkyard for the appropriate piece already colored to match the rest of the charcoal/graphite color in the car.
