The key fob on our 2009 Malibu LT will not unlock the doors. It will lock them, but not unlock. We checked the fuses and they're O.K. We've checked the battery on the fob and it is good, however, a dealer said the unlock button is bad. The thing is, the extra key fob won't unlock it either and it'* hardly been used. The battery is good on it also. The fob will start the car using the remote start button. We just put a new battery in the car, because we thought it was getting weak. Anyone have any suggestions?

Let'* see if I am getting this right...you replaced the car battery recently and the key fob issue started AFTER you replaced the car battery?

does it unlock with the button on the door?

Have you tried to reprogram the remote?

How did you check the fob battery? I would put a new battery in both fobs just to rule that out as a possibility.
