Default What key fobs came with my 2013 Sonic RS Hatchback??

I bought the car used and it came with one key, yeah, one key, no FOB just a key. It does take a key to start it, but I thought it should have at least one FOB.

Can someone tell me what it should have and where I can get what I need. Beside going to a dealer.
Thanks!

Is this the wrong forum to ask this type question? If so, please direct me to the correct place.

If it can be done it should be in the user manual.

And it is, the programming part is in the owners manual, but how do I know what key FOBs this car came with? There are 3,4 and 5 button FOBs available, all I have is a laser cut key.

Call the dealer and the part number. You don;t have to buy it.

Yup. The dealer will know. They can get you the original option sheet as well.

I got the build sheet for this car, as I can't find the RPO codes anywhere in the car.

The build sheet says it has remote start, BTV, and B9U, which is (OCK control RR CMPT L/Gate REM Cont, Elect Open/Close). But I don't see a mechanism that would pull the lift gate down??

So would this car take a 3 or 4 button remote?

I will ask the parts man today as I'm going in to pick up a rear wiper he ordered for me. I'd rather buy from an online source for a better price, but want to get the correct remotes.

I think you would be good with the 5 button and program all that will work. If you have 4 controls and only have a three button fob you will not get all the function. etc
