Default turn signal switch issues

HELLO IM NEW HERE AND WOULD LIKE TO GET SOME HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. I HAVE A 98 LUMINA LTZ AND LATELY IVE NOTICED THAT WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKES I HAVE NO BRAKE LIGHTS(BESIDES THIRD LIGHT)BUT WHEN I PULL TOWARDS ME ON THE TURN SIGNAL LEVER THEY COME ON AND WHEN I PUSH IT AWAY THE BRAKE LIGHTS TURN OFF;AND MY TURN LIGHTS WORK FINE.CAN SOME ONE HELP ME PLEASE. THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Your multi function switch is prolly bad. The third brake is separate from that. So that not affected. Turn signals and the lower brake lights are controled by the multi function switch.
