no i mean replacing the h3 foglight bulbs with h4 9003 headlight bulb, just mounting it in the foglight boxes

so dual filament headlamp bulbs for fog lamps? thats a new one for me. H3 and 9003 have vastly different mounting bases between the 2 bulbs. not sure how well that would work out for ya

rumbler4x4 01-07-2012 04:18 PM

yes, i will have to modify the fog lamp box, ive already looked at what i have to do, not necessarily a dual filament, but maybe a low beam head light bulb of some other sort, would the bulb itself be brighter than the small h3 fog light bulbs?

sawgunner 01-07-2012 04:24 PM

if you used a 9006 or 9005 they would be easier to modify in to the housing. if you want brighter go with the 9005 that is the high beam bulb for most 4 headlamp cars. you also could go with 100W H3 bulbs with no modification needed and would be brighter than the high beam bulb that you would have to mod in

do you thing the factory fog light relay could handle the 100 watt bulbs?

sawgunner 01-07-2012 04:38 PM

if it's 15amp or higher then yes

rumbler4x4 01-07-2012 04:42 PM

ok thank you, i already thought about running the 100, but i didnt know if the bigger headlight bulb would be any brighter

rumbler4x4 01-07-2012 04:53 PM

ok man thanks
