Default Remote start on '12 Cruze

Hey, everyone, this is probably a stupid question, but, is there a way to install a factory remote start on a '12 Cruze LS with the 6-speed stick? If not, it'* fine, just thought I'd ask. Thanks in advance for any info.

When it comes to remote starters, especially on cars with manual trans, I suggest having a dealer install one. That way, 2 years down the road, we aren't laying upside down in your dash tracking wires. And the way some computer systems are, they can be real finicky.

you work at a dealer, ask around to someone who seems knowledgeable. might just be new fobs and programing. if not i would get an aftermarket one, and install it yourself. ive found even if you buy a new car and want someone else to install it there is no one who cares but you about your car being stranded on the side of the road somewhere

I did ask one of our expert techs today about that, and, he said somethnig about the car being re-programmed, or something of that nature. I'm probably not going to get it done, but, just mainly wanted to see if it could be done.

most of the new cars, at least mine has the receiver module in it already because you need it for your other fobs and the tires, so they just use different programs to get the different options. but the dealers always have ordered manual cars without remote start and alot of times without cruise, i dont understand the reasoning these days because people buy manuals to save gas more than saving a few bucks. i bought a new neon sxt and it was manual, so it had no cruise and remote start, the dealer wanted 600 just for the cruise. i found a aftermarket one for over a hundred and a good remote start thats manual capable is maybe a hundred
