Malibu problems
Just replaced crankshaft postiion sensor but car is stalling out like before. Is there some kind of re-learn procedure that needs to be done by disconnecting the battery or something.
Disconnected battery overnight and car still stalls out after about 5 minutes of idling. Most times it starts right back up but occasionally it took a little more effort but it did start not like after several minutes of trying or anything like that. I haven't tried driving the car at all because of the stalling at idle issue so I'm nervous about driving it. I have swapped out the ignition tower with coils and ignition control because I had a spare one here. I also replaced the TPS as well the crankshaft position sensor in the last 2 days because of codes that were originally scanned. One thing I noticed was that there seems to be an awful lot of condensation coming from the exhaust as there are large spots on the driveway anywhere I move the car to when idling and it seemed excessive to me but I might be wrong. Please any help offered is greatly appreciated as my son goes back to college next week and I really need to get this fixed. Thanks again for all help offered.
I'll check those out. Also I'm hearing that installing aftermarket crankshaft position sensors don't always work. Any thoughts on that and what about the re-learn procedure that must be done.

After market sensors are fine. Not doing a case learn when changing the CPS may cause performance issues but I don't think it will cause the car to stall. Same thing with a vacuum leak. Pull the vacuum hose off the fuel pressure regulator and smell the vac line for gas.
