Intermittent DTC Codes
Thanks for the help guys! Still no issues since I reset the codes but I’m sure it’* just a matter of time. Not sure how to load test the wiring but I’ll let you know what I find out.
Load testing will cause small hard to find problems in a circuit to rear their head. You will see why the circuit needs a good load that power probes, LED'* or meters do not apply. We find a 4 amp bulb does great.
Yes. Ours is a home made test light using a 4 amp bulb. If the bulb is flickering or dim you know there'* a resistance in that line somewhere. A good wiring diagram is needed. Any splice or connection of any kind needs to be examined.
Thanks for all the help. I didn’t find anything notable while load testing and the ground checks out good. Unfortunately, I am running out of time to spend on this. I have shoulder surgery scheduled next week.
The codes have not resurfaced yet. I really think it is dirty contacts in the plug. I am going to try cleaning them up with contact cleaner and using a little dielectric grease then see what happens. If it rears its ugly head again, I will deal with it after recovery.
You all have been awesome! Thanks for the help.
