These engines aren't known for bad valve springs for what it'* worth.
Yeah It has an after market exhaust.

Ah, good to know about the spark plug age. That takes that out of the equation. I seldom run into anyone who changes spark plugs before they are due, let alone a long time before they're due. Good on you for doing it!

Are there any other codes stored?

If so, what are they?

Inspect the connection and wiring at the #2 coil all the way to the larger bundle. I'm thinking maybe something along the way became sad when moved around for the spark plug change, then sadder over the next 38,000km.

After that, I'd do a compression test.

I don't see any other codes apart from P0302
I checked the ignition coil wiring for cylinder 2 using voltmeter I do see current b/w 8 - 14v, it'* consistent with other cylinders as well.
I got compression test kit from amazon, pulled the fuel pump fuse and tested the compression and I got approx 75 psi for most of the cylinders and I'm thinking that the compression test kit is wrong/broken.
