Default Has anyone diagnosed the TPMS system

I’m gonna try to make this short but packed with as much info as I can.
I bought a 2008 express van 3500 with 42k miles on it last year. The TPMS worked properly. 80 psi rear tires 40 in the front. I decided to upgrade my battery to accommodate some more electronics. At this point I haven’t wired any aftermarket stuff. Just replaced battery. Service tire system is on dash now. So I go to reprogram the tires and it flat out does not work.. I’ve been over the procedure 100 times. My vehicle does not have power windows or locks so the only option I have is to use the DIC buttons.. when I get to “press (check) to relearn” it just blinks nothing more. I have tried holding the check for 2 minutes. Nothing. Someone said make sure my door is closed. Still nothing. I will attach a video below of what it’* doing..

further more I’ve been dealing with this for over a year. There has to be a way to diagnose why it won’t relearn. I’ve found zero information on tpms problems. Only instructions on how to relearn them.

Any help leading me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated

the video quality doesn’t really show the words on the display blinking. But when I press the check button. The display blinks and that’* it

I don't think it will relearn if the tires are at vastly different pressures. I would put them all at whatever the door sticker says and try again.

so I’m off slightly on the psi. Door sticker wants fronts at 50 and rears at 80... but what I’m not understanding is how would the system know the psi is out of whack if the sensors aren’t even communicating with the vehicle right now? I can’t even get to the step where you start programming the sensors.

or am I totally wrong and the sensors are in fact communicating. It just not on the dash because it doesn’t know what tire is where?

Sounds like at least one sensor is not sending. You may need to get the TPMS tool to see which one it is. I would take it to a Discount Tire and have them check it.
