Not sure if this is the right place, but I'm looking at putting 285x70R17 tires on my 2007 silverado half ton. I know they won't fit stock so I was going to raise the front 2 inches. My question is, will a spare of the same size fit in the spare tire holder? Has anyone else put this size tire on their silverado 1/2 ton?

my buddy has thise size tire on his Silverado with no lift, and he has no rubbing, but not sure about the spare tire question

i had 285/75/16'* on all my trucks all i did was turn the torsion keys up 5 turns and they fit fine

those are only 33ish, i dont know what yours had but my yukons stock tires are about 31ish so you are only talking about an inch around what you have.
