2026 Chevy Corvette order GM won?t accept from my dealer
I made a deposit and placed an order for a new Chevy Corvette on January 13,2026. I have waited patiently for 2 months and no progress. I chatted with their online help group, I called their 1-800 number and I filed a complaint to the CEO. All three avenues told me I needed to wait or they would direct me to a dealer that has allocation.
I find it obnoxious that Chevy would push me away from a dealer and salesman that I have a relationship with. All I want is a delivery date from the Chevy dealer I want to do business with. Any suggestions from this group?
thanks. Rob

It sounds like your dealer is happy to get you on the factory'* list and sell you one, but they have exceeded their allotment.
The questions I'd ask your dealer are:
1. How many customers are allocated ahead of me?
2. How long will it take to get my order allocated?
If the answers don't satisfy, I'm sure your dealer would easily understand why you'd have to go to another dealer to make progress.
In the end, a Corvette is a Corvette no matter what dealer or salesman you happen to order it from.
I'd be tempted to tell you salesman something like this: "Hey, I figured out how I can help you out. I'm going to go ahead and order through that other dealer that has allocations available and get my car. In the meantime, you can apply pressure because you actually are losing sales due to this. Hopefully they will cave and then you'll be making the big bucks!"
In the end, you can still take your new Corvette to your favorite dealership to get service and repairs, unless that requires an allotment as well.
