2024 Equinox Using a USB Drive
When I use the USB drive on our 24 Equinox it plays the the same album over and over again, why can't when I use the USB drive why can't I get it to play the next album on the USB Drive? I don't see any settings to change the way the USB drive plays............
Yes it is...each album is in it own folder....... what a headache.....I have hundreds of CD'* and cars today don't have CD Players so I had to load all my CD'* on to a Thumb Drive....then all the CD I had ripped in years past were in WMA format....then I found the 24 Equinox would not play WMA, So I had to spend weeks transfering all my WMA files over to MP3 Files....... now this.............
I'll have to see what that does, I have over 150 CD'* on this thumbrive and I want to be able to individually choose them...... When you are the only one driving it won't allow you to browse manually...you have to speak it...BUT the problem is you get tired of hearing it reply...."I did not understand you please say it again............" So much you just give up.
It becomes a problem, especially if you have 1/2 dozen albums by the same singer............ AND when you speak a selection you have to "remember" everything you have on that Thumbdrive as it does not allow you to browse when you drive alone you have to use Voice Recognition.....it is really difficult to remember at least 100 albums you have on the Thumbdrive..... I have pulled over on the shoulder of the highway before and stopped so you can use the browse function to select something you want to listen to while you drive. (This only presents itself when you drive alone.....IF there is a passenger in the passenger seat, it will allow you to browse after you have read a "warning screen"....... this fact is so frustrating it has almost made me regret my purchase of a 2024 Equinox....... had I known it before I filled out the paperwork I would have thought twice about this purchase.
I have found the problem with what you suggested by putting the entire selection into one folder, it makes "voice recognition" even harder because it won't "recognize" individual albums that aren't put in its own folder.
