Default 2011 Malibu LTZ Vibration

Last July all 4 rotors and all brake pads where replaced and the car has driven great since then. Now only after driving on the highway for at least 10 minutes, you can hear and feel a vibration coming from the front drivers side. After getting out and examining, the wheel is very vey hot and has a burning smell. I took it to a local mechanic and they couldn’t find anything but changed the brake line to the caliper. I’m curious if the caliper could be bad, wheel out of balance, or I’m just not sure. If only driving through town it never happens. The tires are also in great shape.

Sounds like a caliper is dragging. Did the mechanic actually find a problem with the brake line? Replacing a perfectly good brake line will do nothing to resolve this.

I don’t believe he did. So would it be a good idea to just go ahead and replace the caliper?

*blinking confusingly*

Take it to another shop and see what they say. I almost want to say you have a caliper not releasing all the way.

I'm thinking he replaced the brake hose. If it'* still dragging you would do good to replace the caliper.

Yes he did replace the brake hose but the problem was still there. I replaced the caliper and the problem is resolved. Thanks for the help!
