Default 2011 Chevy Impala 2.4l ls valve train noise

has anyone experienced this issue? The service bulletin is talking about customer complaint of excessive valve train noise. It says to check pressure at the oil ports on the back of the head. Apparently the orifice in the head has an oil restrictor that can easily get clogged with carbon and drop the oil pressure to the head causing damage if not caught. I thought I had timing chain issues until I pulled the valve cover. Then I dug up this bulletin.

I'm attempting to check the pressure on mine now, but out of this 30 lbs of brass connectors, I'm not finding a match to hook my pressure gauge to the head. Might have to wait till tomorrow and run to town for a fitting.

Just curious if anyone else has had this issue and how common it is.

And some pics, cause everyone loves pics.

Yes, it is a malibu with the 2.4l. I noticed my mistake very soon after submitting it but i can't seem to find where to edit my post. Its an off day.

And I believe it may be having this issue, something has to explain all the noise coming from the top end. Doesn't matter if it'* warmed up or stone cold. It still clatters like a diesel. I attached the PDF I was trying to link to.

Yes I did. I ran and got a fitting that would thread into the head. I checked the pressure starting at the one closest to the front of the car. First port gave me about 55psi at a cold idle. Then I capped it off and screwed into the middle one, here, I also got 55psi at a cold idle. I ran engine for a few and when I went to unhook the pressure gauge and found that I lost a quart of oil all over the top of the transmsiion.

But..... The noise has stopped almost completely.
Thats great, because I was already good and frustrated over the matter.
