Thanks, any other suggestions. If it is a valve sticking open, what causes this so I can go in with some knowledge to help my cause at a shop. Anything I should let them know?

I have never heard of a "valve sticking open" causing this problem. It has always been a pressure control solenoid problem so far.

What I have written down from the first trans shop is, Pressure Control Valve stuck open,it is mechanical and that a Valve body kit is needed to fix the issue. According to him GM makes the kit because this issue happens so much?

If the valve was actually stuck open, the car would not be able to move.

I know this is an old post, but more than likely the problem was the clutches are worn out and the PCM is seeing its taking too long to make the complete shift so its jacking up the line pressure in order to try and hurry up and make the shift . the fact it resets everytime the key is cycled is the first clue.
