I just brought home a 1977 Chevrolet Impala 4 door vinyl top sedan. I wanted to ask for suggestions on the different modifications I can make to improve the performance of the car and while satisfying California Smog Check standards. The car has 153,456 Miles. I drove the car from Southern California to Northern California when I bought the car. It have me no problems.
I wanted to keep everything original except the how the vehicle drives. I was wondering what I can to improve the overall driving experience and still give me some power. It would be great if the car will be able to pass smog in California to register the vehicle.

If the car isn't an F41 suspension car, that would be my first step (front anti-spam bar, add rear anti-spam bar, different springs).
