Default Deciphering a 2003 Escalade chassis tag

Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm looking for information about the tag that I found on the right side of my frame. I am told that this is a 2003 Escalade frame. I've done a search on this site and haven't found anything. I want to use this frame to replace the frame on my 2002 Avalanche. So, any information that I can get from this tag will be helpful.

Thank You in advance,
Brian

Here is an Ebay posting for a frame that supersedes the part number you provided. The post includes a list of compatible vehicles, which includes 2002 Avalanche 1500.

What I’m trying to find I think is stuff like gear ratio... I’m 99% sure the frame will work. I’ve got to change the front differential because the one in the replacement frame is for AWD. Thank you for your input.

I am not sure the tag you found on the chassis will tell you anything about the drive train. Look for other tags, like on the diff.

On the front carrier there should be number stamping,I believe on the top side.On the rear diff on the right axle tube they used to stamp the numbers either on the top or the front side. With a VIN the dealer can pull up the vehicle build sheet. You can pull the rear diff cover and the gear ratio is stamped on the ring gear. Example 10:41 = 410 ratio. 10 teeth on pinion and 41 teeth on the ring gear. RPO codes GU6=342 ratio,G80=locking rear differential,GT4 = 373 ratio. Years ago they used to stamp the VIN on the top of the frame,i don't remember which side and if it was done in the years you have.I found it on my 77 frame. Hope you find this helpful.
