2016 Escalade I had a fire near by at the rear.I had the fire damage repaired.Now the back up camera is showing the license plate.I had a new camera put in,it`* still showing the plate..Did Cadillac put a camera in that shows the license plate...Thanks for a reply.

Sounds like whoever repaired this didn't actually look at the completed job. Take it back.

If they installed the door mirrors facing forward but didn't notice and gave it to you, you'd take it back and make them fix it. Same applies with this.

My camera is factory and you can see the license plate as well as surrounding area. On these models there is no camera adjustment. They are fixed mounting.

Now that he mentions that, could the OP post a picture of what he'* seeing?
