Default 2004 DeVille Pressure Control Solenoid

Does anyone have the Technical Service Bulletin to tell me how many hours it should take to replace the PCS? Dealer says 7-8. Thanks

That sounds pretty close but I have never seen a bad PCS in a Northstar. Are you sure that the solenoid is bad?

Default Updated hours

Just talked to dealer. Need PCS and TCC (torque converter clutch) solenoids. Total labor 9.5 hours. I have seen ranges on various forums from 4-11 hours. Does 9.5 sound close? Thanks

Why do you need a PCS and TCC solenoids? Explain why you were given that dignosis. Do you have a PO741? If so you most likely need channel plate seals or a torque converter.

Alldata give 8 hours to replace the TCC solenoid. P2763 is a TCC solenoid short circuit.

Once you have the side cover off, it shouldn't take that much longer to change the PCS.

So they may be padding time by an hour. My friend is in sales at dealer and I am getting 20% off labor rate so still a little ahead I guess! Thanks
