Exclamation 1998 cadillac fuel pump issue!!!

just recently changed fuel pump on my 1998 caddy deville. car had been sitting up for about six months. put pump on car crunk up. drove it for about an hour had a little jerk in it but other than that ran good. later on that night went over a friends house cut the car off came out to go wouldnt crank. next day boosted it off nothing. so i bleeded the fuel line gas squuirted out . so i decided to get a test light and check fuse box. no power getting to the fuel pump fuse! im lost any help would be soooooooo much appreciated!

clean your battery connections and wires, sitting kills cars. condensation makes those things corrode. the battery could be bad now too. by wont "crank" you mean start or the starter is not spinning the engine. generally if you say it wonk crank means the starter wont turn

yes the engine is turning over but the car wont start. when i put the test light to the feul pump fuse it shos no power goin to the fuse.

it will only have power for a few seconds after you turn the key. and if it doesnt there should be a relay for it. i dont have a drawing for that but going off normal function the relay should have power from a different fuse on two pins and continuity to the fp fuse on another pin. one should be high or floating then go to zero when the pcm commands the pump on.

Check all your fuses. Is the security light on?

no the security liht isnt on, i have checked the fuses power isnt getting to the fuses

any of them? there should be a bigger rated fuse that the smaller relays branch from. i wish i had a good diagram for power for that

are you talking about the maxi fuses the big fuses under the cover , i thought about that also but there are so many i had a diagram. http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/he...use_blocks.jpg. see if this the right one and thanks for all the help everyone has been giving me cause i really need to get my car running.

the relay power is going to come off one of those big ones yes, did you see if you have power at the fuel pump relay? the diagram i would need isnt that its a wiring diagram that shows where the pump relay gets it power and what the wire colors are to narrow it down some
