Default transmission whining, somewhat hard shifting after 570 miles

ok so the title basically says it all. went home for 2 days, replaced the last 3 wheelbearings and came back down here yesterday. because it was on all new bearings i decided to just stop to pee once and once to fill up. all thru illinois it was raining and 67. i hit mo and it randomly flys up to 97 and sunny. so im hoping that has something to do with it. (the fact i never turned off the car and it still was set up for the cooler weather?) anyway, about an hour out from memphis i noticed it was shifting kinda harsh but nothing horrible so i kept driving. when i got worried though was when i was merging up to 55 mph from a stop and it whined like i had a supercharger. that was about a mile from my destination. im hoping it was just ovverheated or something and i just need to stop more. i didnt check the fluid because i was exhausted and just wanted a bed, but i figured id post here before i do anything.

tranny was rebuilt in january about 10k ago

thanks alot!

Start with checking the fluid.

Rule 1: Check fluid first, then post.
