we I decided to take it to a ocal shop....I bought al the parts...labor was 220.00
I just stopped over and he is changing the oil ...the UIM looked fine,,,no signs of burning but the LIM gaskets were shot...deformed and cracked...again I removed ALL the Dex at 25k miles.....

so I suppied the parts so I figure total 320.00....that was 2 gallons of coolant, gallon of oil, oil filter, new tstat and gasket, 2 new aluminum coolant elbows, new Dorman UIM and new FelPro metal LIM gaskets

I was going to do it myself but time needed right now I decided to have him do it

That'* not a bad price at all... I'm not even sure if my Buick needs that stuff done (could have occurred prior to my ownership?) but I feared a $400-500 price tag minimum for the labor involved. I guess it all depends on labor rate of the shop.

Around here that'* an $800/900 job if you go to a reputable shop, what a bargain. Can't believe you had it done for that cheap. Shops here will not warranty/install parts that you bring in.......................
