Suspension confusion
In your situation, it would be best to use something like HPTuners to log data, get input from other users and they can tell you what to change in your software. This is the PROPER way to do it.
I would be terrified to try a handheld tuner. It'* probably not as hard as I imagine, but I've heard some stories of people doing horrible things to their cars messing with 'em. Still, it'* gotta be cheaper than a dyno tune, and I'm sure SOMEbody could keep me from grenading my engine because I screwed something up. Kinda figured ZZP had it under control but now that I think about it, they do also offer three hour dyno sessions. I guess my ignorance is showing. This is the newest car I've ever even owned. All the cars I tuned in the past tended to be more...… carbureted. Hand tools and a timing light...….
Tuning isn't all that hard. People will tell you to log just a few things, upload it to the forum, they will take that data and feed it into their tuning software, watch the data, and offer recommendations of what to change on your end. All step by step.
Well, if that'* all it is, I'll have to get my hands on a tuner. Never got one because like I said, I was worried about screwing something up and if U got one, I'd be tempted to play around with it. Can these tuners benefit stock vehicles or will it only become useful when I start modifying?
