Series 2 3.8 swapped into series 1 engine bay?
I have a 1995 Buick Lesabre with 141k miles. The transmission went out and was going to swap a different 4t60e into to later find out that in 95 GM changed things. Now my engine sounds like it has a knock and was hoping to I frame swap my 95 with a 2000 series 2? Now I know I might have to swap pcm, use the series 2 wiring harness and obviously the engine and transmission out of the 2000. Now the series 2 is a 2000 Buick park avenue. My question is will the k frame out of the park avenue go right into my 95 with the engine and tranny if not are the engine mounts the same so I can take the series 2 and put it onto my 95 k frame do all the pcm and wiring harness and will it work?
Thanks
Thanks

The subframe is different.
I believe the series 2 will bolt into your 1995 subframe, but you might have to get your hands on some series 2 LeSabre/Bonneville motor mounts. Most important is to pay attention to the big three-leg mount that bolts to the passenger side of the engine.
Before you start getting out your wrenches, look into how you're going to get the gauge cluster to work properly. This is going to be the difficult part.

The belt routing changed between Series 1 and 2, so the mount may have changed as well. I don't have both in front of me to compare. You'll also need to mount the other half of this motor mount to the body.

Okay so if mounts are different and pcms as I’ve originally stated my transmission is out and my motor sounds like it has a lower end rod knock. Would you guys think it’* be worth it to just swap with a gen 1 3.8L and what could I find this. Really don’t want to buy another car to do this I have multiple wrecked 3.8s laying around. For a car to roll in a ditch at about 100 it definitely had to run and drive.

I think they are the same, but there could be minor differences.
Series 2 are going to be easier to find than Series 1.

I've never seen anything with measurements.
Since you have one sitting there, it would probably work best to measure it and yours and compare.

I was thinking about that but I can’t even been under either of the cars to access just trying to make a game plan. If suspended in the air would I be able to tell differences and similarities from
there
