Default Removing the A/C Relay Switch

For purposes of checking the A/C'* relay switch, the location to which I've already been directed [thanks to this forum], I'm having some challenge in actually removing it.

I realize that there is a snap/lock metal finger, which sits under the relay switches, so that they don't slip out. I'm simply having difficulty in inserting something to separate the finger from under the relay switch.

Any suggestions ???? I've used a small screw driver ..as well as a small finger nail file.

Thank you all, for any input.

First off ..push the relay in toward the firewall. Then use that screwdriver under about the middle of the relay and the dead center..push down slightly then remove the screwdriver and wiggle the relay.

These are instructions as Lash would perform the task.

Hey!

How'd I get into this?

And yeah, do what he says, as I've not had to do it yet.

Default Removing a Relay Switch

Fm > Bill
...Push the relay in toward the firewall.
Then use that screwdriver under about the middle of the relay and the dead center.....
push down slightly then remove the screwdriver and wiggle the relay.
Will try..........And as you know, there is an upward spring bias to the middle finger, which may suggest keeping the screw driver inserted,
while wiggling the relay switch out ???

And of course, thank you for the timely response.
