Default Remote Keyless Entry

One of the KeyFobs on My 2001 Buick Park Avenue the contacts must be dirty because to unlock you have to press the unlock button pretty hard to get it unlocked. I am not sure if the contacts are dirty or the battery is low. Is it possible to open the remote and clean the contacts or should I replace the keyfob? Also how do you program the fobs on this car?

yes you can open them up....there is a little noch down by the ket ring to insert a a Penny to pry it open. After you have is apart you can dissamble and clean it.

I believe that the 00+ have to have the dealer to program the remote Via the Tech 2
