Rear window antenna
2003 Buick Lesabre, Custom.
What is the little antenna used for that is located on the outside rear window, passenger side? It is related to the small black plastic container (size of pack of chewing gum) that is glued to the inside front windshield, above the driver.

Nay nay my young friend. The onstar antenna on my 2001 Bonneville was mounted to the rear glass on the passenger side. It had a short metal antenna, about the diameter of a coat hanger, formed into a spring shape at the bottom and straight from there up.
Actually Roy, I am correct. If you had READ what I said in reference to the shape of the antenna, I am correct. But not in the case of his antenna. His is missing the antenna itself, but still has the mounting plate still attached to the glass. The newer style/shark fin antenna is a dual antenna. One is for cellular and the other is for GPS.
