hi guys ! it,* me again ! i have a 97 buick lesabre 3800 v6 and it shows the pcv valve is under the map sensor so how does it get the vacuum without a vacuum hose ? all i see is a map sensor and a spring ! all the pcv valves i seen had a hose going to it ! thanks guys for your time ! also would it be ok to use a 180 dregree thermostat ? i don,t know what,* in it now, i just got the car not too long ago but so far the thermostat seems to be working ok ! you have a good day and thanks again !

Many typical PCV systems do use a vacuum hose when venting from crankcases.
The Buicks PCV is part of the intake manifold, quite a bit different for sure.

Looks like it'* buried in the end of the upper intake plenum - sealed in by the MAP. Can anyone explain how this works..?

I'd guess it doesn't need to be in a loop, with a hose on one end, since it'* inside a vacuum - like, up in space man.

I've wondered how these worked too. On the 3100 in the Century, it was in the valve cover and had the vacuum hose running to it.
