The funny thing is I haven't touched the plug wires yet all I have done is change the battery and starter. But I'm thinking I'm going to get a set of AC Delco wires to put back on it. I mean I know the old battery was bad but I didn't think that could cause it.

delco should be better than the cheap store brands. just remember the dielectric grease or it will be running bad again next year or earlier.

Believe it or not, I replaced the ignition switch and the problem has stopped altogether. No SES light, no longer missing. It'* running like a champ now.

Sounds like bad contacts in the ignition switch!
