low oil press can be caused by a worn engine bearings
or a weak oil press spring or plunger stuck open
same thing can cause sky high pressure
plunger stuck closed
to access it pull off oil filter adapter 4 bolts
then take a magnet to pull spring out and behind it
is the plunger
make sure the plunger is free and not stuck from sludge or other

A malfunctioning oil pressure sensor/sender can create false warnings.
It is always recommended that a mechanical oil pressure gauge be used in determining if there actually is a low pressure condition in the first place.

I responded with this fix because 1 person asked today yes was from a old post
I did not say the oil pressure sending unit because I have seen it
posted many times if someone has obvious signs besides
normal oil press reading when stone cold and then falling down
from there and lifter clicking
I posted this as a fix only because I have not seen any one saying
how to fix a low oil pressure problem besides replacing the oil press sending unit
and this could help some one that needs more oil press from a worn motor
or wishes more for a HP one
