I would have the car re-scanned for body codes. There are a number of sensors that can light up the abs/trac light and you can end up throwing a lot of time and money in the wrong direction. I changed my front wheel bearings only to find that did not fix the problem. Had the car scanned and found it was the EBCM (electronic brake control module). Bought a used one from Morad, installed it, and have not had a problem since. I'm not suggesting your problem is the EBCM, just that a scan is the most effective means of getting you to a solution.

the brake switch code is whatever part stops you shifting with your foot off the brake is broken. it has been forever. the brake lights work fine..

DTC C1225 LF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation
DTC C1232 LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted
DTC C1291 Open Brake Lamp Switch Contacts During Deceleration
DTC C1293 DTC C1291/C1292 Set in Current or Previous Ignition Cycle


Sounds like either the front left sensor needs to be replaced, or the wire going to the sensor has a break in it.

yea.. in theory i should know by the end off the week. both 5 month old bearings are gone. already
