Default Knocking after Crankshaft Position sensor change.

So I changed my Crank sensor and made sure to line up the keys when I put on the harmonic balancer, but now I have a bad knock and almost no power after it starts. Any idea'*?

you make sure the sensor was seated all the way in the locating hole on the back? make sure the pulley went all the way in? sounds like something is out of alignment. or its out of time.

Take it apart and see what is wrong. Either the balancer or the CPS is not seated correctly.

agreed, or if installed correct, check wiring for breaks or loose connections, or new sensor could be faulty.

ok, so the sensor is in place correctly, but i have read that i am supposed to have a new bolt to put in the harmonic balancer. Would that make a difference? Also I am not sure but i think the rubber on the keyway of the harmonic balancer was damaged, would that make a difference too?

I will have pictures up tomorrow, I have to work today but I will have time tomorrow to take some and put them up. I am worried about a bent rod making the knock but it also has severely cut power and I don't think a bent rod would do that.
