Default Intake been changed?

On my 2000 LeSabre limited was wondering if there is anyway to tell externally if the plenum and\or gaskets have been done? I am not having any symptoms but with no repair history & 133k miles I am feeling a bit paranoid. If I have to do it I would like to before I retire which is soon. Thanks.

Look for the date code stamped into the top of it. If it is newer than the engine then odds are good that it has been replaced.

Thanks. Will do. Also thought about pulling the throttle body & looking at the EGR pipe.

You could do that to inspect regardless of whether it'* been replaced or not, but looking at the date stamped on it is way easier just to know whether it'* been replaced or not.

One quick way to check is to look at the coolant elbows, if they're aluminum rather than plastic, work most certainly been done. If they're plastic, doesn't mean the work hasn't been done, just suspect.

They are the plastic ones.

I know. 🙂 I need to relax. I do drive it and really like it. I've always been obsessive about my cars.
