Default I want a cheap heater core and blower motor

can anyone kindly inform me as to a cheaper alternative to getting a heater core and blower motor for my 97 lesabre? i have checked everywhere and between the two i will have to shell out over $100. too much for this old beast.

if u want cheap just goto walmart and buy those cig heater things. i had one in my bonne for a few weeks untill dealership fixed the heater.

Until the heater core is completely clogged. Once that happens, he'll begin loosing coolant and it will likely leak on the passenger side floor...if his luck is anything like mine!

I'd just replace it. You can do it yourself (solid Saturday afternoon job), or take it to a shop. When I had to have mine replaced last year it cost $325.

already removed the old heater core...already had one of those cig lighter heaters...they are useless for me...not enough heat even in 60 degree weather....in any case, the dash is apart ready to accept the new core...just wondering if there were a discount parts dealer that sold one for less than 50-60 bucks....
