Default HUD retrofit to 04 LeSabre?

One of those nice things to have, and definitely would help my night driving. I'm decent with wiring, and just had the column apart.
What would be involved in doing this in the 04? Seen it done in Regals, but that'* it. Could it be simple as a few connections?
Any ideas? Bill, Dan? I think it was Bill that did it to the Regal. But since the BV is so close to the LeSabre, should be easier, right?

some disscussion has been done about this before

https://www.gmforum.com/general-gm-chat-88/hud-sabre-249457/page3/

on page 3 there is a link to club gp on how to install in a regal. its a pretty basic setup i put on in my cutty but it was pre wired. it was only 8 wires you biggest problem is going to be cutting the dash and mounting it because it wasnt a option on a car of the style. also you will here alot of people say you have to swap windshields ignore that i didnt and know many people who havent i hope this helps you

Thanks man. But the reason I was asking, was the LeSabre had it as an option. The space is there in the dash, and the switch plate is available. I was curious what needed to be done to equip the car with a factory opition. What dash panels I need, and how to wire it in. Should be more simple, since it was an option. Curious if anyone had done it to the 8th gen H body. Bonneville retro should be similar, right?
