When removing those clamps, I have often wondered how the factory installed them in the first place. Are they always rotated to such an angle that makes it impossible to take them off? The things that make you go, hmmmm?

I know that my factory clamps are orientated correctly, in a manner that allows removal with tool. However, I did not say access was going to be the easiest.
If yours are set upside down or sideways or something, maybe it was Fri and he did not get his cheque ! @&^%

As the old saying goes, never buy anything that was built on a Monday or Friday.
