Default gm steering column

Did gm and jeep use the same steering shaft bearing and bushing in the 70'*?

jeep used whatever they could get cheapest back then. i had a 85 cherokee that had a gm 2.8, Chrysler trans, np tcase, dana front and Chrysler rear. the 4 cyl it came with was gm or amc depending on the year.
