Default Flourescent indacater

Well my car has the flourescent gear indacater on the instrument cluster and it blinks when you start the car about 5 times then once it stops it indacates that I am in drive but the car is only in park and doesn't move when selecting gears I think that it is thowing a code our something but i never use to do it so I was wondering if anybody noes anything about it.
