Default Driveaxle removal, They wont come OUT

Trying to remove the transaxle from my brothers 1990 Lesabre. Engine is already out

Tried pushing the driveaxles out of the hubs with a puller, they will slide out but not far enough to clear the hub. What are we missing?

Is the balljoint still bolted to the knuckle? If so, you'll not get it out. Gotta separate that joint, then the knuckle can be pulled out enough to allow you to push the splined spindle through the hub. A lever tool will save the rubber grease cup if you are planning to re-use the ball joints. A pickle fork is much more likely to cut the cup greatly reducing the service life of the joint.
