Default Digital HVAC Controls

Yesterday while at the Pick-A-Part getting my blower motor wire, I noticed that like 2 or 3 of the cars had a digital control panel for the hvac controls. I have the old fashioned ones where I actually have to slide a lever, instead of just pushing a button. Thats too much work for me! So is the digital control just a matter of swapping it out, or is it more involved?

More than likely the ductwork is different, and alot of the controls in the electronic HVAC box are operated by motors and wires. The old way uses cables and vaccumn controls for the blend doors. The blower motor resistor is different for the electronic models.

Your best bet? Find a donor car, and swap some stuff out!
