Default Deleting the AC

I just bought a 1991 Lasabre "beater" (meaning very rusty) for my sixteen year old. A well kept care from the original owner no less. However, the ac doesn't work and the ac bearing is really bad. I bought the AC delete (a bracket, bearing and pulley) for $27 from rockauto and plan on deleting the compressor.

Has anyone done this and how hard is it? The system has no pressure (all leaked out) and compressor appeasr to just be held on by 3 bolts.

thanks

JW

Not difficult at all. Drop the compressor out, disconnect the line from behind it, remove compressor. Install pulley in its place.

I think you will need a 15mm socket or wrench to release the belt tensioner to remove the belt first.

I think I did a write up on just about everything. Even I forget the write ups I did.
