Default Chime volume

I have a 2006 Lucerne. When exiting the car, and car shut off with keys in the ignition, the chime volume is barely audible. Also it appears that the front door speakers do not work with any audio source. Help please!

I would take the door panel off and look at it.

I looked on another forum and a guy posted that I should check the wiring between the fender and door. Removed the boot and harness, and sure enough, broken wires. All is well after a couple of splices.
