update, I had earlier mentioned that i had put in some freon into the system, I decided to get some different set of gauges, I hooked them up and turned on the car with the AC going, I looked at the gauges and the low side had a reading of 32 and the high side had a reading of 156, the outside temp today was 95 with the dew point at 62, I looked around by the accumulator and noticed a line that comes from the firewall to the front of the car which then turns down to the bottom of the condenser, upon further inspection the line from the firewall was sweating, i touched it and it was ice cold, this line is connected to a coupling for the condenser and that is where the orifice is located but still no cold air inside the cabin, with the readings i . mentioned just now ,does that indicate a restriction of the orifice tube or are there other problems as well.??????? thank you for your help thus far cliff

If the lines to the evaporator are cold you should get cold air wherever it'* being directed so long as the blend door is shutting off the heater core.

the only line that is cold is a smaller diameter line than the much bigger diameter line that comes straight of of the accumulator, the accumulator nor the bigger line does not get cold, the smaller line that has the orifice tube that is close the the condenser is not cold at that point, but further back to the firewall where that small line goes inside the cabin is cold, i am just guessing that the problem is the orifice tube.????????

if i remember correctly the accumulator and the big diameter line should be sweating and ice cold as well??????

in some of the videos i have seen say that the high side of the gauge should read about 250 ?????

No, one line should be cold, this one should be entering into the firewall going to the evaporator. The other one coming out of the firewall should be hot. If its cold like the other, then you have an air flow issue inside the dash.

the red arrow is the line that gets ice cold, the yellow arrow is the accumulator that does not get ice cold, and the purple arrow does not get cold

if i understand this correctly in the pictures that i sent, the line with the arrow is supposed to get ice cold but the accumulator and the line with the purple arrow are not to get cold, the reason i ask is because on my 2000 park ave the accumulator gets ice cold. thank you

I have a friend that has a 1999 buick lesabre so for the heck of it i contacted him and went to his place, I asked if he could start his car and turn on the AC, he said sure,I opened the hood while he turned on his car and the AC, the accumulator and the big line in the picture I posted was ice cold, mine is not, any ideas as to what this means?, thank you.
