What is this Bypass actuator adjustment tool and what is a work around since I don't have one? I haven't removed it yet it is working an I plan on reusing it how are these adjusted? let me know before I do something stupid. Thanks, book says to use the tool that came with it? The only adjustment I know of on the bypass actuator is to undo the 2 nuts that hold it in place, move it closer to the arm (there is play in the bolt holes), and re-tighten the nuts. IIRC the nuts are 10mm.

I understand the 2 nuts are used for adjustments, in the shop manual it has a tool for setting this adjustment it appears to be a spacer gauge or tensioner for adjustments? I don't know so I'm asking, I figure it just needs the slack taken out but I don't know??

I wouldn't worry to much about the tool. Just set it and your done.

I just tried to even up the bolts an I tightened it down. will check it after I fire it up.

The idea is not to even up the bolts, but to push the actuator all the way down and to the left as the clearance in the bolt holes will allow. There can be as much as 1/2" adjustment in there. This causes your supercharger to engage a little earlier.

took a 300 mile quick trip. seems okay other then IM not sure when it is suppose to come on,or shut down seems like it was quiting early.
but that will have to wait, got home to no hot water so down to the crawl space and get it running or replace it, it has priority for now. car ran great though.

You only need boost when you start getting on it. Normal driving should see little boost. Having it set right isn't that much of a big deal.

Thanks, out here in our little hills we have to go up an over, I have noticed it coming on going up some of them, so I can set it, with some leeway in just when it will kick in by moving it around some and see just where I like it? my first SC can you tell.lol I better take notes as to when it kicks in on its own an not when my lead foot gets an itch. even have a few places local I can test it out at. Any way got water heater to change out this weekend. Thanks for the info, will try this out and see,let you know what I find out.
