wow, two nice cars. tough choice. i would hold off on the 01 and see whats all involved in trading the grand + cash. but on the other hand, that 01 is a pretty nice price. decisions, decisions. good luck.

Do what I'd do.... Get them both.

now for the practical side, it sounds like both are attractive options, but if you were to get the 03, would you have a loan out on it? If so, the 01 may look better if you can buy it and be free from a loan.

And I would have held out on the 01 and waited for him to come to $5500. He would have done it most likely if you had denied it.

Welp, we've made our final decision. We're sticking with the original plan...

The '03 isn't worth the loan we'd have to take on (roughly $6K). So, we're getting the 2001 GS. Wheels are in motion. Should have it Monday.

Things worked out in our favor and the 2001 Regal GS is in my garage right now!!!

Already started addressing a few things - brakes and rotors all the way around, fixing the stuipd automatic locks, oil change, air filter change, cabin filter change, fuel filter change, and a good wash!

Pics in due time. God it feels good owning an L67. Thing is an animal on the e-way.

I pulled my pushrods from a 99 regal that had the SC already pulled and I thought it would still be a heck of squeeze to get to those even side spark plugs. Is there more room in yours?

Glad you like it. My dad'* new 02' LS makes me want to get an 03' GS.

He wants to work out a trade for my GM and some cash to cover the balance.
Why on earth would anyone want to trade a Regal GS for a Grand Marquis? Thats like someone saying I want to trade my Mercedes E55 AMG for a BMW 530i.

Congrats on the purchase. I like the Regals, but never got into the W-body hype, because I would never have any money if I had a job, as most would go towards mods.

Pop the pins out of both front dogbone mounts and the engine rotates forward

In fact on my friend'* Impala there was even a second hole on the engine, that when the engine was pulled forward, lined up with the dogbones, so you could just slip a pin back in there and it would hold it in the rotated position. Pretty darn sweet.
