Very interested in the heated steering wheel idea. I'm curious how you're planning to go about that as you'd have to find a way to run the power while still turning the wheel.

Very nice thread! But Bill, where are the pictures of the sound deadening?
|
Probably didn't bring that all over. That was in the thread where I was doing all the mods and the pictures were in about 30 pages of posts.
|
That's understandable. I have trouble managing my 50-picture posts sometimes. So, why not skin the wheel, put a heating thing on it, and then have an upholstery shop cover it?

Probably through the steering wheel buttons. They have a ground somewhere, so I'd beef that up, run one more wire (positive), and let 'er rip.

The Lacrosse/Lucerne etc have this feature. I'd grab one of those wheels and connect it the same way as the factory. Just because I can. :thumbup2
Rad.. for pics go to Photobucket BillBoost37 Boosted Album Regal Mods/2000 GS :thumbup2 |
I've perused your album but haven't found anything. It's probably me and my time, so I'll just get back to it later this evening when I'm back home.
Until then, it's pretty cool that you've already figured out how to connect the heated steering wheel. So, then, no reupholstering? |
Never...use existing part with buick emblem on it in the right color for interior and built in heat. That's ...if everything is perfect in the universe.

hi bill. i have a question for you. after you lowered the car, did you have any trouble with the rear camber? i have a 2000 intrigue, after lowing it with eibach springs, my rear camber is way out. i have already used camber bolts. they help but it still to far out. any help would be much appreciated.
thanks chris |
