Buick Regal 2018 issues
Concerns a Dec 2018 model.
About a month ago, the car had problems stating on a
Tuesday. When entering the car, I pushed the brake pedal (push button start) the pedal was frozen rock hard. Pushed the start button, did not start. Messages came up indicating as: put in park, or steering needed servicing (car has about 12000 km on it) and an engine light came on, first time ever. Although the shift was in park, I tried to move back to D and back to P, couldn't move it, like the brake it was locked right solid. I pushed the start button several times, and the brake and shift moved sometimes. tries this for about 4 mins, the car finally started. Check engine light was gone. Drove home, no problems , later I went to several places and started on first try.
Next came Wednesday the car started fine in the moring. As I take trnsit, the car is parked for about 10+ hrs (Tues as well). Coming back to the car, after 7:00 pm, wouldn't start same dance as Tues. Started home, but engine seemed to rev loudly as if in 1st gear. About 1 min after starting pulled into parking lot and turned car off, waited about 2-3 mins, hit the start button, started instantly. Got on rd, and entered the highway, 3 mins later. The engine was revving loudly (58 km close to 5000 rpm. Pulled over immediately, and turned car off. Waited about 4 min and tried again, did not start, but did the same dance as before. Gave up and got it towed. At thte time has full radio and lights.
The GM dealership fixed it and gave a big bill apparently 4 modules were blown, these were: 13594614, 12687467, 24290348, 13599318. Hey also mentioned the key fob was dysfunctional. They claimed it was a case of improper charging. However the bill only showed the parts listed and no fuses replaced. I'm aware the modules are now protected by fuses. (what are the fuses part numbers). Right they insist I pay and I claim it'* warranty issue. The car in with a dead battery but the tow driver left the key module in the car and it locked itself in and could not be fished out. As it was at night the lights and radio were on, and emptied the battery.
Any help thanks.
