sigh. new problem. we finally finished the brakes. but now the pedal is too squishy lol. before, you barely pushed the pedal and you were in the windshield, plus it seemed like you could keep your foot in one spot and it exponentially stopped harder. now it not only stops like a normal car but nothing happens before half pedal lol. the weird thing is it stops as hard as it ever did once you get the pedal there. it will make skidmarks at 35mph lol. so im confused. we adjusted the drums so tight you could barley get them on (its impossible to adjust them with them on thanks to the engineers at gm) plus i even tried doing the self adjust thing in reverse from 20.
my dad swears the only bubbles were from initially putting the hose on. (not using a clear hose. black hose in a mason jar) im tempted to take it to midas and be done with it. i trust my dads work, but with his bad shoulder he works like a heard of turtles and wont move out of the way to let anyone else do it lol.
i was thinking it may be something to do with the abs. i somewhat remember reading somewhere they need to be bled at a shop with a machine because of the abs. not sure though.
any help would be greatly appreciated. my mom has been driving my dads car since i found out she was letting the brakes grind on hers about 3 months ago, and she is fed up with my dad yelling at her about new scratches and how she doesnt coast enough lol. quite frankly i agree, she has ruined the brakes on every car shes driven, and has turned all 4 of my dads wheels black in the 3 months shes driven the car lol.
