Default 97 Park Avenue Burning Smell drivers side rear

97 Park Avenue 64K, for a week now I've been smelling something burning once I get out of my car, the smell is between the back drivers side door and the trunk and I cannot pin point where it'* coming from. I've taken the rear door apart, disconnected everything and drove it to see if that was the cause but the smell continues. I've also taken the back panel between the window and the back windshield off and the smell doesn't seem to be coming from the defrost module there either. The smell is that of an electrical issue, not burning rubber. Also I rarely smell the odor while driving, it'* more so once the car is parked and I get out, I've let the car run for 20 - 30 minutes while parked and didn't detect the smell. Does anyone have an idea of what this could be? How to trouble shoot? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Sounds like a brake dragging. Likely an emergency-brake shoe.

Not saying anything about your olfactory ability, just sometimes folks mistake mild burning brake smells for electrical smells.

Thank you... I'm open to all suggestions. I'm actually getting my brakes changed this afternoon so your response is in perfect timing. Thanks again!

Might want to take the rear seat out & have a peak, as there is a fuse panel & tons of wires under the rear seat.
The rear seat just lifts up & out no tools needed.
The only other thing I can think of is the rear air compressor going south.

Thank You, I'll take a look under the seat as well. I'm learning that this car has alot of components stashed here and there.
